What is lip blush?
Lip blush is a semi-permanent tattoo for the lips, where the artist enhances your own shape and shades the lips a natural color. The goal is to make your lips look as natural as possible, while enhancing the shape and color.
-
What is the purpose?
Lip blush adds color, causing the lips to look fuller, more defined, and can enhance the shape of your lips.
-
Clientele?
Lip blush is perfect for clients who have little to no color in their lips, who want to perfect or enhance their shape, have scars or imperfections, have. no lip line, or have discoloration. This procedure is great for people of all ages.
-
How long does it last?
Lip blush can last anywhere from 1-2 years depending on how you care for them.
-
Does it hurt?
On a scale of 1-10, lip blush is about a 3 or 4. It is slightly uncomfortable, but the lips are numbed before and during the procedure.
-
how we decide on the color?
We decide on the shade by looking at the color and tone of the client’s skin and features, and by matching the color they normally like to wear. Clients are encouraged to bring in their favorite lipstick! I have lots of different shades, and we can always mix them too. During the initial session I always go a little bit more on the natural side, so we can always add more color at the touch up appointment!
-
How do you choose the shape and color for each client?
Every client’s face shape, skin tone, and skin type is different, meaning there are no cookie cutter eyebrows. I design every client’s eyebrows to fit their face using special tools and techniques. I then mix pigments to create a perfect color, to match your individual eyebrow color, and ensure perfect enhancement.
-
Can you wear lipstick after lip blush?
The answer is yes! The lip blush is very natural so lipstick will cover the lip blush if the client wants a change of color. Lip stick will not affect the lip blush once healed.
-
Will I be swollen?
Swelling is normal for the first day or so of the healing process. You will still be able to go out in public.

lip blush aftercare
Aftercare
Keep a think layer of ointment on the lips at all times, which means you may need to reapply several times a day.
Do not get them wet, so apply a thicker layer of ointment before eating, brushing your teeth, or getting into the shower.
Refrain from licking them, rubbing them together, kissing, or picking/peeling. They will be bright for the first couple days. On days 3-5 they will peel and become softer and more natural. Swelling will last anywhere from 3 hours to one day.
*If you get cold sores, please take L-lysine twice a day for one week prior to our appointment. This is to prevent an outbreak, and you can get the pills at any drug store. This is extremely important!
